MOBILE GAMING INDUSTRY VS. SMARTPHONE
Gaming on mobile phones has a huge market in the app industry with nearly 50% of app users playing games on their phones.
However, today's smartphones are usually designed to have larger internal storage, higher resolution, or better camera quality, with little to no focus on providing the optimal gaming experience.
But what if Nintendo released a smartphone that focuses not only on daily use but also for playing mobile games as well?
Instead of playing games with their Nintendo consoles at home, users can now play it on the go with the Nintendo delight.
Camera Positions
The position of the camera lenses represents the arrangement of the buttons on the game console.
Nintendo delight is a smartphone designed for mobile gamers.
Based on observations of how users hold their phones while playing mobile games or scroll through their social media, the form of the phone is designed to create better grip for the users allowing them to hold the phone in multiple positions.
Form and Materials
The indentation design in the middle part also enables users to rest their fingers and hold the phone more comfortably while gaming.
Even when holding the phone vertically while scrolling through their social media, the surface transition provides better traction to prevent users from accidentally dropping their phones.
The cover is made up of a lightweight and scratch resistant material, polycarbonate.
The back piece will be manufactured with double injection molding method, which enables two colors or materials to be molded when needed.
