Middle of last year, I was assigned to design the yearly calendar for Hindalco. Hindalco is one of world’s largest company producing aluminum and copper, in the fortune 500 league blah blah... or you can google it out. I was willing to use aluminum and copper to create something and finally decided to create a few metal birds from 6 different regions of the world where Hindalco has its mines or other operating centers.
The technique used here is actually some add on with traditional Indian 'Thukai' (Hand beating metal) work done by some genial craftsmen of Kolkata who have been practicing this art form from generations.
I am thankful to them.

Planned the things with some rough photoshop work.
Sketches prepared for final beating.
Final pieces
Printed calendar sheets
The metal pieces have been framed and sent to different offices of Hindalco.
