The typologies are something what drives me and my project forward.
When you visit one or two mills, you are overwhelmed by everything - the shapes, the smokes, all the worker running around doing strange things you do not really understand. It is just one big noisy chaos which is called the steelmaking.
But when you visit ten, twenty, hundreds of mills it all starts to make sense. The ideal form begins to emerge.
Like here at this collection - the basic typology of the finishing stands at the hot strip mill.
Every single photographs was taken in a different country. So different countries, yet the the same way of steel shaping.
This is the real #beautyofsteel.
My project is not about industrial espionage, my project is about uniting and preserving. To make the steel industry more understandable.
