ZDW 2019 Rapsodie in blue

Luxa - Rhapsody in blue was part of the ZDW 2019 installation, the installation manifested its complexity and interconnectedness in the design of PLP STUDIOS.

Luxa is an author's object. It was designed with a recycled glass block and makes full use of the properties of the block to conduct light. Luxfera's shape was the starting point in the creation of the product, its industrial appearance is supported by a sheet metal casing, which in the overall concept resembles a small television. In the middle of the luxfer, there is an LED strip around the perimeter with luminosity in daylight mode. The lamp is switched on by touching the housing. The sensor regulates switching on and off and the intensity of its light. It becomes a haptic object in the interior.

The surface treatment is an abstract painting in blue shades by artist MgA. Pavel Zbořil. The room included an object, Sono speakers and an abstract object composed of the very same glass blocks that are used in the lamp.

The dimensions are as follows: height 270 mm, width 270 mm and depth 162 mm.

The lamp weighs 6.5kg.
