Problem statement :

We all have those times when we don’t know what we could make for ourselves to eat from what we have available with us.

• Even if we do we, may not know about a new recipe that can be made from the same ingredients or an old recipe that can be made in a different way.

•A lot Users still face difficulties when it comes to finding a reliable application for making indian recipes.

•This is the problem we tried to solve by creating a platform for the best food in the world.

OUR Solutions :

To create a recipe app, we will  need to implement some features that include:
The list of recipes – the main part of your app.
 Step-by-step guides to help people in cooking.

 Some personalization features: this may include profiles, bookmarks, the ability to upload own recipes .

 Our product will have voice recognition system which will allow user to easily pause, play and stop the video.

 Our app will display missing ingredients  which are required  for cooking.

 When a user has limited ingredients he can get suggestion from our app as to how he can use them to make the closest possible recipe.(Preferably for bachelors).

How did we decided to start?

so, the first rule in most of the user experience design process is to truly understand the problem, then creating appropriate solution . we followed our usual design process approach to solve this problem .
1. STRATEGY PHASE
IN THIS PHASE WE GENERALLY TRY TO UNDERSTAND THE USERS AND OTHER GOALS BETTER, FOR THAT WE CREATED A USER CENTERED DESIGN CANVAS WHICH HELPED US DESIGN KEEPING USER IN MIND.
IT HELPED US GET TO THE BELOW ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

1.1 USER RESEARCH
OWING THE LIMITED TIME FOR THE PROJECT , WE INTERVIEWED 5 CANDIDATES
THROUGH GOOGLE FORMS .

we took interview through various mediums including one-to-one, telephone & video call.
After taking these interviews, we then did Quantitative research by sharing one survey google form across many participants from various location which received 57 responses as well.
Following pain points & insights were discovered after conducting the survey :

52% of people were not able to share their recipe
70% people were comfortable with live chef support
around 57% of people still use a Traditional recipe platform.
28.3% of people are willing to use a recipe app.
2. SCOPE

BASED ON USER RESEARCH WE CREATED USER PERSONAS & USER SCENARIOS
We came up with some interesting features while creating user scenarios.​​​​​​​
      1) Virtual pantry
                                   2)Order your missing ingredients
                                        3)voice control 
                                                        4) Nutrition value of each dish.
