Re_Tower is a design project compound by an office tower, parking and an horizontal mall center located in the urbanization Can Sant Joan, in the town of Rubi, Catalunya, Spain.
Part of the bulding is raised impacting the ground as little as possible and generating a large useful area and returning to the place occupied public space. Strategies based on design techniques both passive and active, relating them with inmotic systems that provide substantial energy efficiency index.
As renewable energies are integrated photovoltaics, using the same structure of the building to grasp; and taking advantage of the height tower where the wind speed is higher taking place the eolic. The project motivates the use of clean transport, placing infrastructure for pedestrian and cyclist. The structural system based on free plants, offers flexibility to companies occupying the tower. Using recyclable materials and/or high strength, durability and lower index of maintenance. Waste management, reuse of rainwater and gray waters encourage reduction of water and energy consumption from the urban network. Organization of pedestrian flows depending on its use, but generating the integration of various activities in public spaces.
