Design Milestones
Design professor Francesco Trabucco has had a long and enviable carrier spanning architecture and both product and graphic design. Our course was tasked with creating mini-documentaries that recounted a part of his journey each; in our case we explored his time working on design and development for the Italian Space Agency, ASI.

Timeless modernity
The theme of space and its particular living conditions was visualised through collage and a retro aesthetic that echoes the wonder of the first achievements in space travel.
Throughout the video we presented various examples of ideas and products that could've resulted from the project.ย However, due to relocation of funding following the instability of early 2000s political climates, the department was closed and none of its developments
came to fruition.
This is one of the reasons for the choice of the motion-graphic medium: the incomplete state of this project left no photographic evidence and scarce information.
Fortunately, Prof. Trabucco himself supplied us with much needed
first-person input on the events.

A matter of storyboarding
In this particular venture storyboarding was essential to understand how to best build a narration with the little info we were given. We approached it by presenting an exaggerated account of events and through the use of subtle comedy in the animations presented.
