«Work Art Work Hard»
Is a conceptual slogan for a pair of illustrations on the theme of
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. With the help of two works, I divided it into two plots
closely related to this martial art.
These illustrations are the image decoration of the hall and carry a motivational message for school students.
The basic idea is that any work, in any field of human activity,
requires immersion in the process and return for the result.
In addition, it is very important to approach it creatively,
which results in something really interesting and even revolutionary.
Jiu Jitsu is a very shining example and tool for this practice.
This discipline is able to change, educate and enrich the student's personality with interesting habits.
«Work Hard»
This work illustrates the technical moment of the clash of two athletes.
Each of them is in a mask, which is a symbol of the game and certain roles played by players.
A monkey against a tiger or an octopus against a shark, a fight can have unexpected moments and anyone can win.
But apart from the game, Jiu Jitsu is quite hard work that requires endurance, analysis and constant improvement.
In addition to the main color combination, I made several additional decisions, thanks to which the same illustration carries different emotions.
«Work Art»
This is the other side of this duo. Aesthetics of struggle and confrontation as an art with a rich history. The roots of Jiu Jitsu come from Japan, in addition, this discipline has borrowed the visual aesthetics of this region. Using traditional Japanese motifs, I created this graphic.
Jiu Jitsu is also popular among women.
I deliberately made these illustrations with characters of different
genders and skin colors to show how affordable and international it
is kind of sport.
The illustrations were printed on canvas as the main medium,
and for more convenient use and distribution
stickers and prints were printed.
The illustrations were also used as a branded print for the
Brazilian jujitsu club merch.
