Last Spring I was asked to take part in a competition to draw the book cover for Susanna Tamaros new book. And miraculously I won!

The book came out on September 17 2020 and I’m so glad (even though I do not speak or read Italian).

It’s a love story that takes place over a long period of time. A freespirited woman and a down-to-earth man – connected by the sea. A story full of longing and the joy of living.

I actually drew two different versions for the book. My favorite looked like this, where I focused more on the coming and going of the ships. A bit less romantic, a bit more harshness of life. But I guess not the right cover for a summer read.
