Queijino is an Arduino project designed thinking of users that need to assume many kind of medicines every day. Our goal was to design a pill box, both containing all medicines and including a reminder to take them at the correct times. We implemented the project creating a device equipped with an Arduino Uno boardwith an internal clock, hence able to remind the user of the timing of intake through alternating fixed and flashing light signals.
The hexagonal shape of our device reminds the Trivial Pursuit’s plan in such a way to communicate a sense of playfulness, to enhance aesthetic and to relieve the psychological pressure of
assuming medicines. Our device has been smartly designed, conceived to avoid buttons to be pressed or times to be written, in such a way that an aged user only needs to put the pills in the slices and to remove/reinstate them based on his needs.
