CHAPLIN

 

Chaplin – a network of cinemas in Almaty.

 

Its moment of interpretation began with the already established culture of cinema-attendance among the population. This festivity, which excludes the given spatial reality, but is unobtrusive, must, by all means, be comfortable. Among the functional requirements of a cinema, acoustic standards are first and foremost.

 

The design includes small decorative accents in the form of inscriptions on the walls and floors, and comfortable seating. A very restrained, minimalist approach was used in completing the entrance area. Lamp shapes are emphasized. A restricted and comfortable set of furniture is seen in the cozy sofas lining the walls. Small tables are presented in the form of large reels of film. To maximize area and save space, storage was created in front of the entrance area.
