Views of one of the most iconic mountains in the world. Shot while hiking around Zermatt during autumn where we experienced a mix of beautiful sunny days, moody clouds and the Matterhorn even got a fresh coat of snow overnight. This is the same mountain depicted on the famous Toblerone Swiss chocolate bar.
Receding glaciers. Here you see the Grenzgletscher which is one of the tributaries of the Gorner Glacier. The original Gorner Glacier (further left, just in the corner of the frame) used to join the bottom but has now lost contact. Above the little glacier lake is the Monte Rosa massif, and the receded Monte Rosa glacier. Look up photos online from just a couple of decades ago and you'll understand how much these have melted.
