Logo Design: The Coffee Project

This project was created to teach students on documenting logo design process flow.

The brief of this project was to create a primary logo and it's variants defining exclusion zones, for the cafe, "The Coffee Project". After careful analysis and research on the said brief, the students had to reach a potential goal and define it as the design objective of this project.

"To design a logo that shows the essence of coffee but treats                         the art of coffee brewing like a project"

Students had to follow the principles of design thinking to reach the best possible solution. Ideation started with figuring out the appropriate logo type and style. Mind-mapping helped in finding visual elements to build the logo easily.

The final logo was created using visual elements of a cup, cogs and a liquid formation. The cup was created using the "C" as the handle and "P" as it's body, hinting on the first letters of "Coffee Project"
Permitted variants of the logo
Exclusion Zone or ClearSpace is the boundary of the logo. The exclusion zone here is defined by the cap height of the bigger cog used in the logo.
With the succession completion of this project, students would've learnt about Logo types, styles, variants, clear spaces, testing and the significance of design documentation and portfolio.
