CLIENT: Concept house for a construction company
AREA: 140 m2
LOCATION: Kyiv, Ukraine/ private residence
For this project, we have developed several typical houses for construction in a picturesque pine forest in the suburbs of Kiev. The modest area of the house suggests using it as a weekend home, which is very important for residents of the metropolis. At the same time, the layout and zoning also allows it to be used for permanent residence if necessary. And for many people it was necessary in 2020.
Among the obligatory requests from the developer was an extensive and multifunctional terrace, as for many people it the main advantage of a country house and a place for the owners' main pastime in the summer. Here, the terrace is the heart of the house with outdoor fireplace, and several lounge zones.
As for the indoor layout - it is quite conventional in a way: the ground floor is a public space with a fireplace, kitchen, dining area and free access to the terrace. Also here, behind the wall and quite isolated, there is a spacious master suite with separate bathroom and wardrobe. So that the house may be used upon request as a one-floor house. On the first floor there are several extra bedrooms, with a place for a wardrobe and a bathroom.

In general, the house is somewhat reminiscent of the modern interpretation of a forest chalet. Wood and natural stone dominate in the finishing materials as well as in the furnishing and décor make it feel cozy and calming place for contemplation.
Interior concept is built around natural materials and wooden textures.
