Cross-Cultural Delights: Indian and Thai Wedding Invitation Design

This captivating project had me designing a wedding invitation suite celebrating the union of an Indian bride and a Thai groom. Their vision was to honor their heritage through their invites: they pictured themselves in traditional Indian attire against backdrops showcasing iconic landmarks of India and Thailand. Their Hawaii wedding would resonate with lush, tropical decor.

Design Concept
Inspiration struck from the couple's wish to intertwine their cultures visually. My creative process involved blending imagery of beloved Indian and Thai landmarks with vibrant tropical botanicals, reflecting their Hawaii ceremony theme.
Design Elements
Typography: A graceful script font mirrors the elegance of Indian calligraphy while a delicate sans-serif provides balance with a touch of Thai design sensibilities.
Color Palette: Greens, blues purple and pinks, jewel-toned hues from Indian textiles are interwoven with the vibrant greens and softer pinks characteristic of Hawaii's tropical splendor.
Imagery: I incorporated stylized illustrations of recognizable Indian and Thai landmarks such as Taj Mahal and Thai temple, seamlessly woven into the lush tropical floral background.
Special Touches: A custom illustration of the couple blends the couple's initials, incorporating subtle nods to their respective cultures.
