Client
"Kleindok" is a coffee bar in Gent in Belgium. The name means "small dock" because the bar is located near the canal. At first, the client had requested a mermaid in their logo because they are located near the water.
My job
I thought about the name and the mermaid. And when I did the mood board, I realised that the mermaid was already to use often. So, for a little more originality I created "maidmer", a reverse mermaid.
For this project, I did the illustration, the wordmark and the branding.
I can't wait to go for a good coffee!
