Rifleman Khan - 1:1 Alsatian
Rifleman khan was a client project, made for the Tank Museum, Bovington, UK. He is based on a real dog who received a PSDA Dickin's medal for saving his handlers life while in battle.
A full body cast is currently in the works using the silicone and epoxy fibreglass mould you can find below. The head above is a painted cast of the head to show the client a glimpse of the final outcome finish for the rest of the body. It will be finished to the standard shown above.
Above is the main body sculpt (tail made separately)
Below the process image of the moulding technique, using silicone layers, fibreglass and epoxy resin. One of the most challenging moulds I have made so far.
As can bee seen about to the left is a jesmonite cast of the head before painted. Other images so the mould parts finished and pulled away from the original sculpt.

Looking forward to casting the rest of the body so he can be sent to his new home at the Tank Museum.
