Symphony Senior Living - Logo Rebrand

Above are the original logos the company had been using for some years. They were looking for something a bit cleaner yet still keeping some of the elements from the original design, preferably the music note, if it made sense.

They also wanted two variations of the final logo as there would be two different types of residences. It needed to be clear that they were indeed separate from one another, yet still under the same brand.

As I mentioned above, the first few rounds invloved trying to work in the musical notes. While it did work somewhat they realized they wanted something a bit different. So I introduced a scripted text treatment. One of the main concerns still was that both brands still might be too 'similar'.

While the scripted font looked great, there still needed to be a bit more of a visual seperation between the two logos. This was done by treating the text a bit different, yet using the same fonts, and creating two different word marks.

The resulting changes were the above designs. I did really like these but the client stil wanted separation. So, I came up with a completely different wordmark for one of the brands and viola, the tree was born, which you can see below.

The absolutely loved the tree, it was just a matter of deciding on which version. The only thing left to determine was which way to go for the other brand. Look below to see how it all turned out.
