Synopsis

Amara Jade is destined for great things - or so she says in her video blogs. As the beautiful young daughter of a wealthy business tycoon, Amara finds her life in Elea University rather dull. Not interested in studying business, Amara yearns to sing - maybe even act. She's been working on her own song, too - but she just can't figure out what to write about.

Amara's big break seems imminent when a failed audition for a local musical puts her in touch with Derick Truscott, a jack-of-all-trades who has connections in the film and music industries. He helps Amara land the lead role for a local indy film, and the chance to write music for the film's soundtrack. Yet Truscott has an ulterior motive, and after convincing a very drunk Amara to spend the night with him he reveals that her "big break" is in a local smut film. Enraged and still hungover, Amara storms off.

After a brutal assault and a short hospital stay, Amara finds that Derick has mysteriously disappeared. Her best friend and roommate, Shea, tries to help her come to terms with the attack. She believes it was Derick who assaulted Amara - and so does Detective Jim Ashen, the skeptical, lethargic detective assigned to Amara's case.

Yet Amara is convinced something else is going on. People are leaving SoSpace comments as if she's dead - yet these comments vanish whenever she tries to show them to someone else. And she's begun to hallucinate - visions of a horribly mangled girl haunt her. Shea and Ashen believe she's experiencing a nervous breakdown, but Amara knows better.

Amara becomes convinced that all of these things are related, and is obsessed with discovering the connection.

Once so sure she was destined for greatness, Amara now struggles to simply survive as her obsession threatens to rip her world apart... and in the end, it may cost her more than her life...
