Modelling for Photorealism - Personal Project
A good friend of mine (@industrialsketch) was on a flight to her home country and got to fly on a Qantas Dreamliner. I asked for a photo of some of the interior and decided to model one of the pictures she sent me. I tried to match the perspective and details by eye and this is what I came up with. This is a smaller project but I wanted to practice photorealism and my 3D modelling in Blender.

Special thanks to my friend Jacob (@jj.rankin) for critiquing my WIPs and for giving me some tips on colour correction and photography.

Out of everything, I found lighting the scene to be the hardest. There were many reflections and light bounces off objects that I could not see. In an attempt to match the lighting I tried different methods; using gobos and planes with different reflective properties to add some indirect lighting to the interior.
Render Passes: Diffuse, Glossy, Emission, Denoise, Depth, Colour Correction
Render Passes: Direct Lighting, Indirect Lighting, Denoise, Wireframe
Hope you enjoyed!
Software Used: Blender 3D, Adobe Photoshop
