Honey Beauty (Capstone Project)

Honey Beauty (Capstone Project)

Project Goal: The standard of beauty in the U.S.predominantly excludes people of color, which forces them into a frustrating and expensive trial-and-error process of purchasing products. Instead of this tedious process, I designed a service that offers a convenient and curated way to shop for beauty products.
Program: Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), Sketch, Invision, Miro
Role: UX Designer
Description: Through the curriculum at Springboard User Experience Design Career Track, I designed my capstone project, Honey Beauty - a service to make the experience of buying beauty products more inclusive and convenient for people of color. Through this process, I put on many hats such as user researcher (conducting surveys and interviews, affinity mapping, creating personas) and visual designer (sketching, wireframing, visual design, and prototyping).
Style Guide

I created a set of visual guidelines that were applied when designing the user interface. Some of these visual elements included the color palette, typography, and the different states (resting, hover, active, error, success) of buttons, sliders, form field elements, and menus.
