SCIENCE MUSEUM PHOTO SERIES [Part 1]

SCIENCE MUSEUM PHOTO SERIES
[CANONICAL ARCHITECTURE DOCUMENTARY]
A photographic series of the project "SCIENCE MUSEUM"
made by the architects Rafael Moneo and Enrique de Teresa.
October 2020 to January 2021 | Valladolid [Spain].

WELCOME

"In this series what you are going to see its the purest essence of this building
in the oncoming black and white photographs
and also how this beautiful place turns into something magical when bathed in light."
The project was born out of the need to provide the city with a new museum space on a plot of land next to the river where the old flour factory was located, which had to be respected and integrated into the new building.

The building highlights a residual urban space and acts as a connection between the two parts of the city:
the one on one side of the river and the one on the other bank.
The building is planned as an experimental exercise
On the one hand, the materials: white concrete and copper self-protected by a green oxide patina
On the other hand, structurally both the tower and the footbridges are important challenges.

I will leave a link in case you want to learn more about the place:

If you want to see more of my photography works...
I hope you enjoyed the journey!
