Built from Vocal Type Co's Bayard typeface which was inspired by signs from the 1963 March On Washington For Jobs and Freedom, Represent Collaborative was shortened to feel more immediate as REP CO with an attached exclamation mark disguised as a period and underline, and then again highlighted as a ! (human) ! logomark. Combined with color palettes inspired by the legendary work of Emory Douglas, the Rep Co identity is built, literally, entirely from the output of previous protest movements.
