2020 didn't quite turn out as most of us expected. The winter workshop season ended abruptly only a few weeks in and as the pandemic spread across the world, all the remaining workshops of the year got cancelled. 

It didn't take long before all tourists cleared out from Lofoten. What was expected to be another busy, and crowded season, suddenly became the complete opposite. Popular locations where you'd normally see a dozen of photographers were now empty.

Now, the Lofoten Islands is a rather remote region in Northern Norway so we have been fortunate enough not to have had a lot of cases here. There aren't many people living here and we don't have crowded places in the towns.

It's been interesting to have many of the popular areas by myself, and to go hiking without meeting anyone else. Yes, the financial consequence was big but on the bright side, it's enabled me to explore many local areas without worrying about crowds.
