翻玩書本  |  為何現代社會中的人們即使擁有充足資源,卻未必會持續終身學習?

亞洲學生普遍深受升學與成績至上主義影響,在台灣,學生平均上課時間長達9.5小時,是全世界最久,更別提放學后還要參加補習班的課程。這樣的文化教導我們「學習」是為了考試並取得好成績,是一件痛苦的事;一旦脫離校園生活,便不再需要學習。

「翻玩書本」是一個以書為主題的遊戲活動,旨在玩樂中翻轉參與者對於「書」只能是無趣知識承載體的認知,使參與者克服與書相關的三項主題挑戰,從發現學習多元面向的過程中獲得愉悅體驗,打破傳統學習的負面印象,鼓勵人們終身學習。

Asian students are generally deeply affected by admissions and achievement supremacy. In Taiwan, students spend an average of 9.5 hours in class, which is the longest in the world. Not to mention the tuition classes that they have to take after school.This kind of culture teaches us that "learning" is for exams and getting good grades, which is a painful thing, and once we leave campus life, no longer we need to study.

"Book:Flip and Play" event is the sets of book-themed games to encourage people continue lifelong learning. During the play process, the event try to flip the participants' perception that the "book" can only be a boring knowledge carrier. They can discover the multiple aspects of learning, found that it can also bring pleasure experience.
