I took a plane from home to Dunhuang Western China, 3000 kilometers away. I rented a Volkswagen car. I brought a lot of water and food with my GPS. I went to the uninhabited area to look for the BC human remains and natural beauty on the Gobi Desert. All photos were taken with Mi Note 3
On the Gobi Desert, the original place was my rented car.There is no one here, no cell phone signal, no FM radio signal, and I can receive medium wave radio in a language I don’t understand. I guess it may be Mongolian or Kazakh.
There is no end to the Great Gobi Desert, which used to be a grassland 2000 years ago.

This is the Great Wall of the Han Dynasty, a total of 10,000 kilometers long, from here to the Korean Peninsula.
This is a beacon tower, an important military defense facility in ancient times. In the event of an enemy situation, smoke will be used during the day and fire at night.
According to the literature, the city wall was originally about 10 meters high. Now it is flooded by wind and sand, leaving only 2-3 meters high. I took these photos at the risk of the car being plunged into the sand.
Continuing on, the Yadan landform appeared on the side of the road, some people called it the Devil City.
The taxi driver in Dunhuang city advised me not to come here alone. He told me that a young man took a taxi here a few months ago. After seeing the magical scenery, he got off and went to take pictures in the depths of the Gobi Desert alone. The driver waited until it was dark and he did not return. The driver returned to the city and called the police. Three days later, his body was found 13 kilometers away from the highway.
I am afraid of getting lost or encountering danger, so I dare not leave too far.

Ahead is Lop Nur, the paved road is over, there is no gas station on the road, I returned to Dunhuang city when I drove 200 kilometers.
