Toronto, at times, doesn't seem like a waterfront city, but since my family and I moved about three blocks away from the water a few years ago we get to see and access the water constantly.

Living below the Gardiner Expressway allows for a greater connection to the water. For those who don't know, it was built in the 1950s and snakes along the Lake Ontario shoreline heading into the city, essentially cutting off the city from the waterfront. I also live in a less popular area of Toronto. I'll keep it all a secret for now, but it has some of the best waterfront parks with way less foot traffic, mainly because people aren't aware it exists.

During a sunny bike ride around my neighbourhood, I happened upon these stone sculptures and snapped some photos of them along with some wonderful views of the water and city.

Anyways, Covid and winter have changed that a bit and this winter hasn't been as snowy or as sunny as previous winters. So today I post these as a reminder and something to look forward to.
