Today's game engines and virtual cameras help make TV shows and movies, and games have also opened up a new field of in-game photography.

Some guys create very cool and photorealistic art without having a camera, professional light or 3D skills. As a photographer, this should scare me a little, but if you look at the situation as a whole - visual creativity close to photography is more common and accessible than ever. It's incredible. And it's definitely something that can be learned as a new very cool tool.

I recently get a pack of characters from GTA Vice City - and remember a time when low-polygon people, cars and palm trees were inexpressibly delightful. And then I thought - why not make a couple of portrait-renders with these great characters.
