2020 Illustrations

In 2020, I was able to find my personal art style and although I know that this can change overtime, I felt pretty comfortable with the style I developed this year. In this compilation, you'll be able to see how my art progressed, and what I am interested in illustrating. I am hoping to do more of these in the next few years so stay tuned to see more of my works! :)

My 6 Fan Arts for this year
Top (L-R): Michael from The Good Place, Howl from Studio Ghibli's Howl's Moving Castle, Zuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender
Bottom (L-R): Faye from Chungking Express, Bubbles from The Powerpuff Girls, Shego from Kim Possible

One of the fashion illustration commissions I was able to make this year, and it is for a cafe uniform. The client wanted it to make the uniform with an earthy and minimalist color scheme — hence, the greens, browns, nudes, and the grey.

These three birds above are my OCs and I was able to make it with the help of my friend's art prompt and it was to draw Birds in Suits. I really enjoyed the process of creating this piece and I managed to enter this illustration in a #ArtPH collaboration piece online.

For Maynananggal, I drew a mananggal doing her own self care routine and that is by working out, while scrolling through her phone. It definitely is a very modern take to the mythological creature, and I like how people are able to relate to this piece because let's face it! Working out can be a struggle.

Sailor Moon Redraw

A few bust commissions I was able to make this year! It was a great learning experience for me and
I was able to develop how I want to illustrate people better.

My entry for Panday Sining CSB's art collaboration online and it is a virtual protest

A few tattoo flash illustrations I made this year. Hopefully in the near future I'll be able to learn how to do tattoos. I made these completely with no sense of direction, and just drew whatever I wanted and I'm very proud of the end product.

A collateral post I made for Panday Sining CSB
The concept of this post is to make it look like Monopoly's boardgame jail card.

These two illustrations were made back in May. I was still experimenting with my colors.

This ASEAN poster is one of the only few school related illustrations I made for 2020. The prompt was to create a poster that shows ASEAN's union and the overall goal of the organization. I illustrated a big leaf to symbolize the growth of Southeast Asia, that we all envision and I also drew the people from SEA around it, because I wanted to show Southeast Asians gathering to support each other as one great community.

A few whimsical illustrations I made this year. I also noticed that I used a lot of Blues which reminds me of how close it is to the color of the year. From these illustrations, I've tried to experiment with the composition and different coloring methods.

Last but not the least, this is a postcard I made for a client.
