An inspiring young architect with a biting ambition.

Duggan Designs is the work of my friend Josh. His architectural concepts are beyond anything I've see, particularly for how young he is. For one of his Christmas presents, I wanted to make him something, even if he only uses it for a small amount of time, I wanted to make something that would serve as a more professional logo than his existing one and something to really demonstrate his brand.

For one of his Christmas presents, I wanted to make him something, even if he only uses it for a small amount of time, I wanted to make something that would serve as a more professional logo than his existing one and something to really demonstrate his brand.

As this was a gift, I obviously couldn't message Josh about how he wanted this design to look, but if there's anything I do know, clean lines never go wrong. 

Structure and a strong simple design are what I tried to prioritise most for the logo. As an architect, structure involves such a crucial role in design. I experimented with a few different variations of the DD monogram but still found myself returning to the diagonal concept. 

It was from there I decided to split the DD in half and work on how to make these two separate forms that could stand alone as singular components or together as a harmonic design.
