This piece was designed based on an assignment where a lamp needed to be made with the use of a laser cutter as a requirement. The laser cut pieces are made out of 1/8" PETG and each piece is pieced together by 18 gauge wire with plastic tubing. The color is coming from a hand painted light bulb. Inspiration came from a peacock feather found in RISD's Nature Lab.
