Academic work of 2nd Year B.Arch., 3rd semester.
A house for a family of four. The father is a Bank employee. The mother is a Teacher. The children go to school.
This is their Haven.
Site location:  Hypothetical
Climate: Warm and Humid
Wind direction: South East to North West (primarily)
The intent of the design is to design an urban residence to suit the needs of the family according to the briefing.
Ground Floor Plan
North is up
The ground floor consists of one Bedroom for the parents, the Kitchen, Dining, and Drawing room. 
The utility is for the laundry, as it is connected to the garden where the clothes can be hung out to dry. 
The drawing room has a double height ceiling, giving a more open and spacious feel.
The Balcony is a small option for an indoor garden, and for some fresh air from the south east and the direct sunlight from the south helps plants grow. 
First Floor
North is up
The Living room is the private lounge where the family can take a break from their hectic daily schedule and relax together.
The Drawing room can be visually accessed from the Living room through blinds.
The windows on this level in the drawing room are fixed.
