En 2019 hice -Mapa Extrajudicial- una representación del recorrido entre las poblaciones de Soacha, Cundinamarca y Ocaña, Norte de Santander en Colombia. Con este trabajo buscaba visibilizar la lucha de los familiares de los cerca de 2.200 civiles asesinados por el ejercito con ayuda de terceros. 

Hace pocos dias La Jurisdicción Especial para la Paz, ente que investiga estos asesinatos cometidos por agentes del estado colombiano y presentados irregularmente como bajas en combate, reveló preliminarmente que la cifra alcanza 6.402 victimas asesinadas entre 2002-2008. 

En principio mi trabajo honraba la lucha del Movimiento de algunos de los familiares victimas de esta atrocidad: @MAFAPOCOLOMBIA. Pero con el informe presentado recientemente, se aclara que estos crimenes se produjeron en 27 de los 32 departamentos del pais, y en más de 180 unidades tácticas adscritas a muchas de las brigadas de las siete divisiones de ejercito Colombiano. 

Estos crimenes ponen en duda la falsa idea de seguridad promovidas desde el Gobierno de Alvaro Uribe Velez, a tráves de un macabro sistema de recompensas para presentar supuestos resultados militares. A cambio de llevarse de sus territorios a estos civiles, y luego de asesinarlos, vestirlos como “insurgentes”, los militares recibian recompensas, dias de licencia y otros beneficios. 

La busqueda por la verdad nunca debe detenerse.

In 2019 I made Extrajudicial Map representing the geographical route between the municipalities of Soacha, Cundinamarca, and Ocaña, Norte de Santander in Colombia. With this work, I sought to make visible the struggle of the families of the nearly 2,200 civilians killed by the army with third parties' help. My work honored the Movement's effort of some of the family victims of this atrocity @MAFAPO.

A few days ago, the Special Jurisdiction for Peace, an entity that investigates these murders committed by agents of the Colombian state and irregularly presented as casualties in combat, preliminarily revealed that the number reached 6,402 victims murdered between 2002-2008.

The report recently presented clarifies that these crimes occurred in 27 of the 32 departments of the country and more than 180 tactical units assigned to many of the brigades of the seven Colombian army divisions.

These crimes cast doubt on the false idea of ​​security promoted by Alvaro Uribe Velez's Government through a macabre system of rewards to present supposed military results. In exchange for taking these civilians from their territories, and after assassinating them, dressing them as "insurgents," the military received rewards, leave days, and other benefits.

The search for the truth must never stop.
