Another view of local interest. This time an isometric 3d stylized view of Victoria BC's iconic Inner Harbour. Victoria is the capital city of the Province of British Columbia and where I live. My scene here shows the Fairmont Empress Hotel, the Royal British Columbia Museum and Archives, the Provincial Legislature Assembly known as the Parliament Buildings, the multi-columned Old Steamship Terminal, the Floating Floatplane Airport Terminal, the Coho Ferry and the Art Deco Tourist Information Building complete with a 1930's era Sperry Beacon and was once a former gas station and garage.
This busy harbour is a year round tourist hub with old double decker tourist buses, busy tugboats and a bustling fleet of tourist ferries or 'pickle boats'. Of interest, Francis Rattenbury a British architect designed three of these buildings - the Parliament Buildings 1898, the Empress Hotel 1908 and the Steamship Terminal 1924.
A side by side with the original sketch. Note the sketch at one time had a visiting Tall Ship and a floating attraction that has since been removed from the harbour known as Undersea Gardens.
