Sifr 1.0 | A portable stool

SIFR 1.0
Deriving something from nothing
A portable stool
National Institute of Design, 2019
Sifr is an Urdu word meaning Zero; nothing - absence of anything; a void. The frame is the bare minimum existence of materials, which hardly catches ones eye initially. Just like Zero, it weights barely something. Adding a seat on top is what adds value to it; just like a 0 becomes a 10.
Or, is it 0 that adds value to 1?

A lightweight portable stool for temporary rest; Sifr can be carried along anywhere seemingly disappearing with the environment. The form requires the user to sit upright with legs as secondary support, thus preventing bad posture.
MATERIALS
Structure 19mm circular MS section
Seat Hand crafted teak wood. Matte finish.
