#SupplyChainGeekDay

#SupplyChainGeekDay

Five years ago, we unleashed #SupplyChainGeek to the world. It was our way of saying—we love what we do, and we are glad to be part of this supply chain community. That said, one thing ties us all together; our willingness to “geek out” to solve the challenges before us.

Since the beginning of Barcoding, it has been important to us to honor and recognize what makes our supply chain success possible—the people behind the technology. In 2020, we hosted a virtual celebration to honor our #SupplyChainGeeks. We held our first annual #SupplyChainGeekDay with the support of our partner, Zebra Technologies, on June 26—the barcode’s 46th birthday. We celebrated the amazing people who make the supply chain run and the essential employees who stepped up during the most disrupted of times.

Despite countless disruptions and setbacks, essential employees, like those in the supply chain industry, continue to keep our world connected and we are proud of all of their dedication and commitment to efficiency, accuracy, and connectivity. We raised $7,600 dollars to support our community’s partners, American Logistics Aid Network (ALAN), and Food Banks Canada.
The #SupplyChainGeekDay campaign was multifaced—promotional efforts focused on digital strategies (integrated social and email marketing) and included a custom destination site. The social campaign was one of our biggest campaigns yet with over 300 posts (plus 1,000 interactions, 800+ clicks, and 25,000 impressions). We created some fun campaign assets including our free digital zoom backgrounds and the Legendary Creatures t-shirt.

For #SupplyChainGeekDay, we made a series of custom backgrounds & wallpapers. They can be used as backgrounds in Zoom or Microsoft Teams or simply as a desktop background. Download here! There are a series of illustrated backgrounds as well as photo backdrops.
