Verdana
I created a type specimen sheet to revisit the fundamentals of typography. By limiting myself to one layout size, typeface, and color, I became more familiar with the key ingredients of good design. I decided to study Verdana because of it's popularity on modern devices. It was designed by Matthew Carter and released in 1996. Today, Verdana is available on over 98% of Windows and Mac computers. Academic lab studies show that Verdana is highly legible.
