Branding
The Painted Table is a cafe and restaurant located at the ground floor of Canvas Boutique Hotel. The restaurant embodies an atmosphere of flavorful food, congenial vibe and a design concept that tells millions of stories. The centerpiece of the restaurant is a 5 meter, 18 seater painted table commissioned by the hotel to muralist AG Sano. The table boasts colorful renderings of Palawan nature and folklore. The Painted Table is a place where guests are visually and gastronomically filled.
The creative brief provided a moodboard of logos as well as the vibe they wanted the logo to emanate. Based on their brief, I was able to come up with the first iterations, where I focused on hand drawn elements using the brush tool and a font that would provide a hand written feeling as well to channel the restaurant's artistic side.
From the first iterations, the client asked me to focus more on the artistic elements and chose a font from my drafts to continue with, The second iterations then led to the final iterations where I focused more on swatches and brush strokes of colors like a painting palette. From there, I added the fork and paint brush illustrations to indicate the logo was for a creative restaurant.
