Dress For Success "Restart" Campaign

Dress For Success "Restart" Campaign
This project is quite special to me because it was my first time working with CreateAthon AZ. I worked in a team with 3 other amazing volunteer designers where my role was print designer. We worked with a charity for 24 hours to give them design solutions to the problems they were facing.

Our charity - Dress For Success - supplies women with a professional wardrobe to help them get back to work. With the pandemic putting so many people out of work, they knew they had to work extra hard to help women with socially distant and pandemic safe services. Our job was to create a campaign they could use in the new year to reach out to women in need. It needed to be empowering, welcoming, and above all - professional.

All of the following work was produced in 24 hours and the print ready files were delivered to the client digitally.
The Mailer
The first piece I made for them were the requested mailers. The triangles are meant to symbolize moving forward and moving up. The client told us that their big problem was that people weren't taking the help they offer because they felt there was a catch. So there's an asterisk * after 'free' on the description of the services that references a little footnote - where you'd normally find such 'terms and conditions'. The twist is that this footnote says there is no catch! Everything is paid for by donors, they are simply committed to helping you succeed. This was one of the client's favorite additions.
The Brochure
These brochures would be handed out to Dress for Success' partners so they could refer women. It was important to us to include diverse imagery. They include the 'Restart' logo that was designed by one of my teammates.
The Hangtags
Dress for Success started offering contact-free drop offs, but that took away an opportunity they normally had to connect with their clients and remind them of the other services they provide. So I pitched the idea of hangtags that promote a new social media hashtag and remind the clients that Dress for Success is with them every step of the way.
The Apparel
A bit of a stretch goal, I mocked up some fun ways to use the logo and patterns my teammate designed.
The Swag
Sometimes Dress for Success likes to deliver goodie bags with the clothes. They wanted inspiring additions for these bags that would instill a sense of pride. We made motivational stickers and even mocked up enamel lapel pin designs.
Inspiration For More
When I was brainstorming how to reach the target market, I remembered my experience with local public transit. I wasn't able to get the exact measurements of the ads used in our bus and light rail stations on such short notice, but I did give the client a mockup and the contact information they'd need if they wanted to move forward with this concept.
