The Neverending Story

The Neverending Story was, probably, the first fantasy movie I saw in early childhood. It completely blew my mind, made me eagerly wait for what happens next, sitting with my eyes glued to the screen (that sequence with the sphinxes!). I was in awe with the breaking of the fourth wall and all that meta stuff happening there. And the score when Bastian flies on Falkor is just so beautiful and already so nostalgic.
Later, when I read the book, as an adult, it still fascinated me with deep ideas and tribute to reading and imagination.
Here's my tribute to this wonderful and truly fantastic creation.

“If you have never wept bitter tears because a wonderful story has come to an end and you must take your leave of the characters with whom you have shared so many adventures, whom you have loved and admired, for whom you have hoped and feared, and without whose company life seems empty and meaningless.
If such things have not been part of your own experience, you probably won't understand what Bastian did next...” (c)
