The retired Harvard University professor, Jorge I. Dominguez spent nearly five decades researching and teaching at the highest levels. At one time, Jorge Dominguez was the vice provost of international affairs at Harvard, and his responsibilities included monitoring Harvard’s overseas programs while establishing several new ones..

Of course, many different entities at Harvard took responsibility and initiative for specific programs. Harvard’s Office of International Education in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences supported Harvard undergraduates who wished to study abroad for a semester.. The Harvard Summer School has also sponsored courses abroad for Harvard students while in partnerships with other universities, accepting students from institutions in the United States and elsewhere.

For those Harvard students , offices and partnerships are set up with schools in many countries around the world. Funding is also available for research, and an alumni program matches students with alumni members who are also living abroad.

In academic preparation, the university offers programs in more than 100 languages. Exchange students also have research opportunities and the ability to join international student organizations.
