Nerodiseppia [Brand Concept]

Introduction
Nerodiseppia is a trattoria located in the heart of Trieste. Family-run, it is a place where the quality of the fish and the cuisine are combined with the delicate kindness of the staff. The menu is accompanied by a careful selection of wines, for the perfect match with each dish.

Project Scope
The main scope was to create a logo and a playful brand identity that makes the brand stand out.
Moodboard
The inspiration was taken from Pinterest by looking for italian fishmongers, fish restaurants interiors and fishing-related peculiar elements such as illustrations, signs and blackboards.
The new logo resembles an octopus with a chef hat in a playful way, to convey the kind and
heart-warming feeling you have everytime you walk in.
During the process, I tried to keep the look and feel consistent with the existing identity, especially in terms of colors, while adding additional ones to complement the palette.
The food and wine menus were conceived as an essential part of the new brand identity. Although the trattoria features a large collection of dishes and wines, I tried to keep it short, to focus the attention on house specialties and cult bottles.
Since this concept was created during a lockdown period, I thought it was necessary to provide food delivery collaterals that could be easily placed on plain packaging, seasoned with some funny, local dialect expressions.
