Bang & Olufsen — Rebranding (Student Project)

Bachelor Project in Communication Design & Media - KEA

This project was created as part of my Communication Design Bachelor Exam. It consisted in a rebranding of Bang & Olufsen, a danish luxury audio brand. The project started with a research phase which included a survey of 150 B&O fans, interviews and various design methods. The rebranding concept is based on the simple idea of a circle, a shape which is often used in the Bang & Olufsen products. The logo is a simple alteration of three circles and the design system which includes the frames and the shapes is created on top of the logo. The colors are inspired by reality, black and white as primary colors for maximum accessibility. Aluminum and wood tones inspired by their products. Four brave colors were added for the youthful energy. The typefaces represent a beautiful serif combined with a modern sans-serif which represent the technical precision and the heritage of the brand [...]​​​​​​​
