The Making of Laphroaig Whisky

The Making of Laphroaig
A Photo-Essay on the Making of Laphroaig Whisky
This was a collaborative project undertaken with fellow photographer and colleague Paul Bock.  With Paul's studio and architectural expertise coupled with my more photo-journalistic  style and art director bullying, we were able to create a nice collection of images to document the materials, place and processes which combine to give Laphroaig whisky it's distinctive flavour, making it the worlds favourite single malt Islay whisky.  This project had a very long list of subjects which needed to be covered at the distillery and throughout the island - in a short period of time.  A very successful and enjoyable job with the most difficult part being the editing of 50 images to print and feature in a leather bound book.
