Starfish capture and consume their victims by ejecting their stomach out through their mouth, and that's pretty much how we've felt about the last academic year :)
The giant clam is considered neither aggressive nor particularly dangerous. While it is certainly capable of gripping a person, the shell's closing action is defensive, not aggressive, and the shell valves close too slowly to pose a serious threat.
As with other octopuses, mating occurs when the male octopus hands the female a sperm packet. The female uses the sperm as she sees fit, fertilizing the eggs when she thinks the time is right. When they are fully developed, she lays them and like other octopuses, leaves them alone to fend for themselves.
Jelly fishes are cool as is, but In 1991, moonfish jellyfish travelled into outer space on the Space Shuttle Columbia so that scientists could examine how micro-gravity affected them. The jellyfish multiplied in space. That’s right, a brainless jellyfish has done more than we probably ever will :(
Sea horses usually mate under a full moon and sing while they're mating. They even give hugs everyday of pregnancy.
Sea turtles can’t retract their head and flippers into their shells.
Ironic how I placed two fighter fishes together considering how aggressive they are to each other. Similar to cock fighting, betta fish fighting was a sport in Thailand.
