This project required me to draw on user experience principles and methodologies to solve a problem. The problem was the user flow of the learning management dashboard and the number of extraneous blocks and functions on the dashboard, causing cognitive overload for the learner.

I started by exploring the problem and narrowing down on each one of the issues. Then I created a persona on the primary demographic for the use of the LMS.

I conducted some desktop research to determine how the LMS compares to the market and came away with some key insights and recommendations.

From my research and observations I identified a number of research questions, which I used to conduct 30min interviews with 10 people in various roles, all who access the LMS in some capacity.

From my interviews I synthesized the results to narrow down the problems and completed an affinity mapping exercise with my colleagues in Miro.

Based on these insights, I made a number of recommendations. Next I completed a crazy 8's exercise to collect ideas.

Next I created a storyboard and then moved onto a lo fi protoype and wireframe.

It underwent a number of iterations and finally I developed a medium fidelity prototype
