Nearly a million cars pass Greenway each week. It's the square-shaped housing commission block that can be seen at Kirribilli from the Sydney Harbour Bridge. For all its visibility, it remains an enigma to most of Sydney.

I set about creating a portrait of the underprivileged who live in one of Australia's richest suburbs.
In order to be approachable, and as a gesture of goodwill towards my subjects, I sat out the front of "A Block" with a sign offering free prints for residents willing to sit for me. The response was overwhelming.

The resulting sessions humbled me and gave me an understanding of the gracious and indominable nature of these public housing residents.

The work was published in The Pool Collective issue 3.
