On October 10, 2009, I did an 8-mile loop hike in Central Oregon -- from Clear Lake, down the east side of the McKenzie River to Carmen Reservoir, and back up the west side of the River to and around Clear Lake.
The fall foliage colors and water reflections were gorgeous!
Clear Lake is the headwaters of the McKenzie River and the sole source of drinking water for Eugene, Oregon -- 74 miles away.
I took the pics in this series with a tiny-sensor Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 pocket zoom digicam. Unfortunately, tiny sensors can't handle intense light well and tend to blow out highlights.
