"338:th day"
3:rd place in the graphics competition at Transmission64 2021 Fall Edition.
I made this image during a few days in October and then got to work at a few others just right after. Releasing them in a backward succesion of last image first. Code by Luke and an important request by Jetboy to have the 1-point perspective put to a side and not symmetrical.
Above: Workstages which shows that I had several design-ideas about "home-coming" and winter-time.
"Escalier"
5:th place in the graphics competition at Syntax 2021.
"Masquerade"
1:st place in the music competition at Syntax 2021, using my image as background.
"Dream Membrane"
Made for the World Wide ZOO 2021, Finland. Recieved the 2:nd place in the graphics competition.
Code by Luke.
Above: Workstages.
Below: AutoCAD help-grid drawn as guideline. Red lines define the border/ bitmap screen.
Underneath: Hires sprites, bitmap and rasterlines ($d021)
"City Noir"
Made for the Oldschool Graphics competition at Xenium 2021, Katowice, Poland and recieved the 2:nd place.
The theme for the competitions in general  was "Noir" as in the cinematic expression of the aesthethics of the 40:ies and 50:ies. I saw this kind of blend between modern architecture in a big city with rain/ snow and fog working against contrasts, old cars and persons dressed up in the best fashion.

Code by Luke, Help by Brush and specially composed music by Shogoon.
Video with the image together with the music.

Below: Rastercolors and sprites for the upper and lower border.
Ocean Bay
Competition picture for the AROK Party 2021 Online, Hungary. Recieved the 5:th place.
Hires char-graphics put ontop of expanded multicolored sprites and background colors. Mixed sprites in the border (unexpanded-expanded). There was no given theme, just the party-pages color-scheme which I thought could be good enough for a start.
Programming by Luke.
Above: Workstages of the image
Below: Image layout: $d020+d021, hires and sprite layout in the border.
Above: raw unexpanded multicolor sprites with 3 colors underlaying the whole screen area (expanded in horizontal on the screen).
To Norah
Competed in the music competition at Syntax 2020 and recieved the 3:rd place.

The graphics was made in a hurry, 2 days for the bitmap based on a photograph of Norah Jones. Less than 2 more days was used for the animated twister in the background. Some more time was invested in the actual code (spritecarpet + bitmapanimations and lyrics). The wonderful 2 SID tune was the crownwork of this "music-video" made by Wojciech and was the starting point of this production, so my graphics came after. The programming was made by Tomek and Krzysztof. Lyrics by Michał and tests by Krzysiek.
Crow's Calling
Competed in the Wild-compo at Syntax 2020 and recieved 3:rd place.

The idea with the animation came from my everyday life as I used to go down to the old cemetry and feed a small baby hooded crow (Corvus cornix)

which couldn't fly so well, his/her parents also usually came by to feast on the boiled eggs and walnuts I brought with me.

Watching the bird as it grew up, I came on a regular basis during a period of six months to enjoy the affection of that family. The little one wriggled his wings as I came by usually up on some stone, sleeping in a smaller tree or came jumping arround in the grass. They usually have their communaction made up with calls for their family-members and other birds signaling dangers, food, territorial ownership, mating calls and probably much more than we can understand and there is a rich variety in timbre, pitch, speed and number of calls.

Corvids are smart and easily remembers your face if you give them food and show companionsship very quickly in their silent communication using close contact, following after and keep looking with their brown eyes at you. Although setting the bird in a scary environment/mood as they have been portraied since the middle ages, they are really joyful little creatures, which loves to play.

The initial work was made in September 2020 and postponed from being a halloween-demo to be released before the year had gone by with wonderful sounds composed by Wojciech. Programming was made by Krzysztof and Krzysiek. Help with audial work/triggering from Jason.
Above: Audio/Visual Mock-up of how I intended the demonstration to look like back in September 2020.
Below: Sprite-multiplexer layout:
Each row consists of 2 sprites in the foreground creating the animated rain.
By moving them one position to the side at a time it looks as if they are "falling".

Hain's birthday intro
Font and rasters
