This project is an interesting one for me. I really like the concept of using a word as a means of changing an image's meaning visually, by addition of another image. I thought, and still do think that the meaning behind it was a bit heavy-handed, but even still it's a message that resonates with me more than most. Messages of self improvement, hope for something better, and the overall theme of not giving up is something that I value a lot, so even be it a bit overbearing, I'm still really happy with the message this piece conveys (and yes, that image IS my midterm, I figured there'd be no better image to use as a sort of "light of hope" and an image of places that make me happy, so my midterm project was a perfect fit!)
